Questions & Answers
How can I edit my personal information?
Once logged in, click on "Settings" on the top right corner of the screen. Here you can change all your personal information like e-mail address, password, language, name, date of birth, phone number, etc. To edit any one of these, click the "edit" link next to the appropriate field. The cool thing about iSociety is that all your communities and organisations are immediately up-to-date with your modifications.

How do I create a new group within iSociety?
Go to the groups page using the link in the top menu. On the right you'll find the link "create a group". This will lead to a form asking you the necessary data to create the group. This is also the place where you'll indicate whether you want an "open" or "closed" group.
Important: since iSociety is a communication tool, only "real" groups are admitted.

How do I find someone on iSociety?
iSociety is a communication tool for communities and organisations and is built around these two concepts. If you want to find an individual you'll have to do this through means of a group. In the phonebook of each group you'll find the e-mail address and phonenumber of the group members. Everyone decides for him- or herself in which group to display which information.

How do I join a group?
Click in the menu on the link "Groups". Enter part of the name of the group you want to look for. Once you've located your group, you can click the "join group" link. If the group is an "open" group, you are automatically approved. If the group is of the "closed" kind, an administrator must first approve your application (also see "What's the difference between an open and a closed group").

Why is it important that I enter my real personal information in iSociety?
iSociety is in the first place a tool for communities and organisations to communicate with its members in a safe and transparent way. Since communities and organisations like to know who they're communicating with, it is essential all personal information is correct. iSociety can also be used for personal communication, and everybody likes to know who he/she is talking with.
